SELAYANG, Aug 13 2026 — Digital Minister and DAP national chairman Gobind Singh Deo has contributed RM10,000 to Tokong Kua Na Neng, a long-standing Chinese temple in Selayang Jaya, in conjunction with the 52nd anniversary of its Three Deities festival.
The donation was announced by the P106 Damansara MP following his attendance at the temple’s Thousand-Person Peace and Blessings Dinner held the previous night.
In a statement posted on social media, Gobind said the temple has served as an important community institution for residents of Selayang Jaya for more than 50 years.
“This contribution is in conjunction with the 52nd anniversary celebration of the Three Deities (San Wang Fu), namely Zhu, Xing and Li Dar Ren Gong, who are worshipped by devotees to pray for blessings, peace, safety, protection from disasters and diseases, and prosperity in life,” he said.
Gobind described the large-scale dinner as more than a religious gathering. “It reflects the spirit of unity, togetherness and concern that has united this community for generations, thereby strengthening the bonds that make this community so close and caring for one another.”
He expressed hope that the spirit of love and togetherness would continue to strengthen the community and bring peace, blessings and prosperity to all.
Photos shared by the minister show him on stage with temple organisers and community leaders as donation cheques were presented, as well as interacting with attendees at the outdoor event.
The gesture underscores ongoing efforts by local leaders to support inter-community institutions in multi-ethnic constituencies such as Damansara and surrounding areas in Selangor.
