KUALA LUMPUR, May 21, 2026 (Bernama) — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today graced the 2025 Excellent Service Awards (Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang — APC) ceremony for the Ministry of Communications at Auditorium Seri Angkasa, Angkasapuri here.
Accompanied by Communications Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, the minister presented certificates of appreciation and RM1,000 incentives to 535 deserving staff members from the ministry and its agencies.
Among the recipients were 63 staff from Pertubuhan Berita Nasional Malaysia (BERNAMA).
The event celebrated the dedication, excellence, and contributions of civil servants in enhancing the ministry’s service delivery. Recipients, many dressed in traditional attire, posed proudly with their certificates on stage and in group photographs, filling the auditorium with a festive atmosphere.
In recent similar ceremonies, Minister Fahmi has urged ministry staff to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) prudently to boost efficiency while maintaining integrity and combating fake news.
The APC is an annual recognition programme that acknowledges outstanding performance and long-term commitment among government employees.
