In an official post on X, the OSTP detailed progress made since President Trump signed the order on April 23, 2025:
- The Department of Education expanded AI training programs for K-12 educators across the country.
- The Department of Labor prioritized development of AI-related registered apprenticeships.
- The Department of Agriculture integrated AI education into the 4-H program and the Cooperative Extension System.
- More than 200 companies and nonprofits pledged millions of dollars in free AI education resources for students, parents, and teachers.
The announcement also previewed an upcoming White House event welcoming finalists of the Presidential AI Challenge to Washington, D.C.
“The Executive Order reflects the Trump administration’s commitment to equipping American youth with the skills they need to lead in the global AI landscape,” the OSTP statement emphasized.
