PUTRAJAYA April 2026 – Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming has highlighted the Madani government’s infrastructure delivery record, claiming that the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has successfully completed 15,100 projects nationwide since 2023.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) today, Nga contrasted this achievement with what he described as the failure of the PAS-led Kedah state government to deliver on 10 major projects it announced between 2020 and 2023.
“Ketika Kerajaan PAS umum 10 projek namun semua gagal siap, Kerajaan Madani menerusi KPKT sudah menyiapkan 15,100 projek sejak 2023,” Nga wrote.
He added: “Biar Fakta bicara, bukan auta macam pembangkang. 100% siap. Janji Ditepati. Rakyat boleh menilai.” The post was tagged with #MadaniBekerja and #RancakkanMadani.

The accompanying infographic lists 10 uncompleted Kedah projects, including:

- Pelabuhan Sanglang (2022)
- Lebuhraya Kulim – Sungai Petani (2023)
- Penyelesaian Masalah Air Kedah (promised complete by 2023, announced 2021)
- Jambatan Darat ke Thailand (2021)
Total projects announced: 10
Total completed: 0
The second image showcases a completed KPKT project – the upgrading of Pasar Awam Batang Kali in Selangor. Before-and-after photos show the transformation from an outdated outdoor market with makeshift tents to a modern, covered facility with clean trading stalls and improved amenities. The project was funded with RM319,600.49 to provide better, cleaner, and more comfortable spaces for traders and visitors.

Recent ministry data supports Nga’s claim of strong delivery. KPKT has reported completing over 15,082 small-scale BP1 infrastructure projects from 2023 to 2025, which have helped reduce flood hotspots and upgrade local amenities. The government has also revived 1,501 abandoned or “sick” housing projects, benefiting approximately 180,000 homebuyers.
Nga has consistently positioned the Madani administration’s housing and local government initiatives as people-centric, emphasising on-time delivery and zero tolerance for abandoned projects moving forward.
This latest statement comes amid ongoing political rivalry between the federal unity government and opposition parties, particularly PAS, which leads the Kedah state government.
