PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA February 23, 2026 – The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) held its annual Iftar gathering here yesterday to foster closer ties among ministry staff, agencies and stakeholders while embracing the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was graced by the Mufti of Wilayah Persekutuan, Sahibus Samahah Ustaz Ahmad Fauwaz bin Ali @ Fadzil, who delivered a 30-minute tazkirah. In his clear and easily understood address, the Mufti highlighted that Ramadan is the best opportunity for self-improvement and the building of a better character.
Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong presented contributions totalling RM18,000 from KUSKOP and its agencies to Rumah Bakti Al Kausar. He also handed over RM10,000 in cash together with basic necessities and food items to 20 orphans from the home.
“KUSKOP will continue to strengthen its role in empowering entrepreneurs and cooperatives to improve the well-being of society,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The organisation of this Iftar event reflects the ministry’s commitment to living the values of Ramadan through the strengthening of togetherness and social concern,” it added.
The ministry ended the statement with its tagline: “Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia.” (Make Malaysian Businesses Excellent).
