PAHANG, MALAYSIA February 10, 2026 – The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated a total of RM183 million to implement 42 people’s welfare projects across Pahang throughout 2026, benefiting approximately 2.57 million residents of the state.
Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, during the Sentuhan Kasih KPKT 2026 tour in Kuantan yesterday, announced the original allocation of RM179.625 million under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (RMK-13) Rolling Plan 1 (RP1), with an additional RM3 million for two extra projects, bringing the total to RM183 million.
The additional allocations cover:
- RM1 million to rebuild Medan Selera Cenderawasih in Indera Mahkota
- RM1 million for the construction of Dewan Serbaguna Balok in DUN Beserah
- Another RM1 million is hoped to come from the Office of the Political Secretary to Prime Minister for the same hall project
Other major allocations include:
- RM46.7 million – Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) Programme by SPNB
- RM37 million – Local Government Department (JKT) projects, including Temerloh Sentral Bus Terminal and Pekan Sentral development in Pekan
- RM32 million – Urban Sustainability programmes and housing projects
- RM21.1 million – Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) development projects in Kuantan, Bera, Lipis, Rompin and Bentong
- RM19 million – Solid waste management (JPSPN), including land acquisition, upgrading sanitary landfill sites and construction of additional cells
- RM4.7 million – Housing maintenance (JPN)
- RM4 million – Kampung Baru development
- RM2.3 million – Urban landscaping in Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin (JLN)
- RM1.55 million – Maintenance of 15 Non-Muslim Houses of Worship (RIBI)
During the visit, Nga Kor Ming inspected eight key project sites, including:
- Taman Rekreasi MADANI Taman Pandan Damai
- Upgraded stalls at Taman Tas
- Homes of recipients under the Urban Home Repair Programme in Lorong Permatang Chengal and Tanah Putih
- Anjung Selera Taman Cenderawasih
- Rumah Pangsa Alor Akar
- Pantai Batu Hitam public amenities
- Handover of Rumah Mesra Rakyat keys to 13 recipients in Kampung Chengal Lempong
He also officiated the ceremony for the allocation of maintenance funds for RIBI to 15 houses of worship and presented a symbolic mock cheque representing KPKT’s total allocation for Pahang.
“The successful implementation of these projects is the result of strategic cooperation between KPKT, Local Authorities (PBT) and the Pahang State Government. This close synergy ensures every project is well-monitored and delivers maximum benefits to the people.” said Nga Kor Ming.
These initiatives are in line with the MADANI Government’s vision to strengthen socio-economic infrastructure and holistic people’s welfare across the country.
