IPOH, PERAK, MALAYSIA January 4, 2026 – Deputy Commissioner of Police (DIG) Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay yesterday presented school essentials to 45 asnaf and orphan students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tarcisian Convent during the TAJ International College (TIC) Prihatin and Community Education Network 2026 programme held at TIC’s Main Hall.
Tan Sri Ayob Khan attended on behalf of Puan Sri Dato’ Zalena Mohd Ariffin, Vice Chairman of the Malaysian Police Family Association and an alumna of the school.
The initiative, officiated by Tan Sri Ayob Khan, aims to ease the financial burden on low-income families by providing basic school necessities ahead of the new academic session.
He arrived at around 2:00 pm and was welcomed by Perak Police Chief CP Dato’ Noor Hisam Nordin and TIC Executive Chairman Puan Tina Dato’ Sri Hj. Tajuddin.
During the event, 45 of the total 100 beneficiaries received essential school items, including uniforms, school bags, shoes, stationery, and other educational supplies.
The contributions are intended to instil hope and boost the confidence and enthusiasm of the asnaf and orphan students as they begin the new school year.
Prior to the presentation, Tan Sri Ayob Khan visited exhibition booths and interacted warmly with charity vendors and attendees.
The programme was enlivened by various family-friendly activities, including a Back-to-School sale, a cute baby contest, a children’s colouring competition, and other community-oriented events.
