TAWAU, SABAH. MALAYSIA November 18, 2025 (Tuesday) — Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, personally attended the Madani Rahmah Sales Programme (PJRM) for the Dun Sri Tanjong constituency held at Kampung Saddani, Batu 2, Tawau, on Tuesday afternoon.
The programme, offering discounts of between 10% and 30% on daily necessities, received an overwhelming response from local residents who turned up in large numbers since early morning.
“Alhamdulillah, I am in Tawau this afternoon to join and engage with the local community attending the Madani Rahmah Sales Programme. The response has been enthusiastic, with residents seizing the opportunity to shop at prices 10–30% cheaper,” Datuk Armizan said in a statement issued after visiting the programme site.
He emphasised that the PJRM initiative is one of the MADANI Government’s key commitments to continue helping the people tackle the cost-of-living issue while ensuring access to essential goods at reasonable prices remains guaranteed.
Among the fastest-selling items were rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, milk, baby diapers, and various other kitchen essentials, all priced significantly lower than market rates.
The one-day programme involved the participation of local traders and major suppliers working in collaboration with KPDN to bring affordable sales to rural and interior areas of Sabah.
The minister’s personal presence was warmly welcomed by residents, many of whom took the opportunity to snap photos and briefly discuss their daily concerns.
The MADANI Government aims to organise more programmes of this nature across the country until the end of the year to further ease the burden on the people amid cost-of-living pressures.
