Anwar Ibrahim Calls on Malaysians to Unite in Support of Palestinian Struggle

PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA Oct 7, 2025– Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged all Malaysians to unite as one nation in voicing solidarity with the Palestinian people’s struggle, particularly alongside the heroes and heroines who have just returned after being detained during the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission.

In a statement issued today, Anwar emphasized his firm belief that in the heartbeat of every Malaysian, there is an embedded resolve to continue fighting for global justice and peace.

“Let us join hands and move in unison, raising our voices for a free, dignified, and sovereign Palestine,” he said, while inviting the people to meet tomorrow night, Insya-Allah.

This call comes amid growing international attention to humanitarian issues in Palestine, with the Global Sumud Flotilla mission recently impeded by Israel’s blockade. Anwar, who also leads the Unity Government, has consistently demonstrated strong support for the Palestinian cause since assuming office in November 2022.

He concluded his statement with his official signature as Prime Minister of Malaysia, reinforcing the appeal for national unity in the global fight for human rights.
