In a heartfelt tribute, Anwar lauded APMM personnel as the nation’s “main fortress” in safeguarding maritime security, praising their courage, discipline, and sacrifices. “Your contributions to the nation are immense,” he said.

The MADANI Government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strengthening the APMM through initiatives aimed at enhancing assets, improving training, and elevating personnel welfare. These efforts, Anwar noted, will ensure the agency remains formidable, respected, and competitive in addressing modern challenges.

“God willing, through Budget 2026, national defense, including agencies like the APMM, will receive due attention to ensure our defense readiness is at its peak,” he added.

Anwar also emphasized the need for accelerated and comprehensive development in Sabah. Key priorities include the Pan Borneo Highway project, improvements in water supply, healthcare facilities, and other critical infrastructure. These initiatives aim to bridge the development gap with Peninsular Malaysia, ensuring Sabahans enjoy better, more comfortable, and higher-quality amenities.

“The Federal Government and the Sabah State Government will continue to work hand in hand, as the well-being of Sabah’s people is a priority that cannot be delayed,” Anwar stressed.
