The event underscored the unwavering commitment of all stakeholders in combating the escalating drug threat. The state government, National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Pahang, and strategic partners were commended for the success of this initiative, which goes beyond awareness to reflect a collective resolve to free Pahang from drug addiction.

Drug abuse remains a grave national security concern. As of June 2025, Malaysia recorded 134,916 drug users and addicts, with Pahang reporting 9,452 cases—a rate of 567 per 100,000 residents.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, through AADK, is bolstering efforts with four key strategies: uncompromising enforcement, continuous prevention, humane treatment and rehabilitation, and strategic collaboration.

“Let us unite to ensure Pahang remains strong and drug-controlled, setting an example as a drug-free state in Malaysia,” said Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, emphasizing the Madani government’s vision of a safe, resilient, and prosperous society.

The ceremony highlighted the ongoing fight against drugs, aligning with national goals for a healthier future.
