Saifuddin Highlights Transformative Impact of MADANI Correctional Community Program

KEDAH, Malaysia September 19, 2025 — During the launch of the MADANI Correctional Community Program by the Malaysian Prison Department, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized the significant benefits this initiative brings to local communities.

Each selected village under the program receives a fund of RM1 million, which is utilized to upgrade, repair, and construct various facilities aimed at enhancing the welfare of villagers. “This is not an empty promise but a tangible improvement that communities can experience,” the minister stated.

A prime example is Kampung Teluk Nipah in Kota Kuala Muda, designated as a MADANI Correctional Community. The village has seen notable transformations, including the restoration of a fishing jetty, improvements to tahfiz schools and religious study centers, and the organization of basic village infrastructure.

Beyond physical development, Saifuddin highlighted that the program offers a second chance to individuals through skill training, spiritual rehabilitation, and social integration.

“It addresses two critical aspects: village development and human rehabilitation,” he explained.

Saifuddin also expressed his congratulations to all involved in the initiative, hoping that every effort and contribution would lead to collective good.

“May each drop of sweat, each donation, and every hard work become a cause for goodness for us all,” he added.
