KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 16, 2025 — Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim issued a scathing condemnation of Israel’s recent airstrikes on Doha, labeling them a “barbaric” violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law. The attacks, he said, undermine the peace initiatives led by Qatar’s Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

In a strongly worded statement, Anwar decried Israel’s “relentless pattern of lawlessness and apartheid” across Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran, accusing the nation of rejecting justice and humanity. “Condemnations alone will not stop the missiles, nor will declarations free Palestine,” he declared, urging the international community to move beyond rhetoric.
Anwar called for decisive measures, including severing diplomatic ties and suspending trade with Israel. He also emphasized the need to ensure safe passage for a humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza, aimed at delivering aid to its beleaguered residents.
“Malaysia stands unwaveringly with Qatar, Palestine, and all who champion justice and peace,” Anwar affirmed, signaling the nation’s resolute stance amid escalating regional tensions..
