Deputy IGP Emphasizes Integrity, Discipline, and Effective Supervision in PDRM Address

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia September 9, 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, urged Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel to uphold integrity as the cornerstone of their service, warning that no leniency will be shown to those involved in syndicates or criminal activities. The address was delivered to PDRM leadership, staff, and course participants in Kuala Lumpur today.

He highlighted that lapses in supervision often lead to disciplinary issues and misconduct, ultimately affecting the quality of service delivery to the public. Supervisors at all levels were called upon to be more proactive in monitoring and guiding their subordinates.

“The increasingly complex crime landscape and the widespread influence of social media demand swift responses from law enforcement. Complacency, leniency, and taking shortcuts, particularly in managing investigation papers, must be eradicated to enhance service effectiveness,” he stressed.
