PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA. Oct 4, 2025 – A total of 23 Malaysian activists involved in the Global Sumud Fortilla (GSF) mission are currently in the process of being transported out of southern Israel aboard a special flight to Istanbul today.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim through official channels, stating that the activists will undergo health checks in Istanbul before returning to the homeland in the near future.
“Alhamdulillah,” said Anwar in his statement, emphasizing gratitude for this positive development.
He also urged Malaysians to continue praying that all matters be facilitated and that the activists return to the embrace of their families safely, Insya-Allah.
GSF is an international initiative aimed at supporting Gaza residents through humanitarian aid channels, in which these Malaysian activists participated before being detained by Israeli authorities.
The Foreign Ministry has worked tirelessly to ensure the release and repatriation of its citizens, and further information regarding their arrival in Malaysia is expected to be announced shortly.
