SELANGOR, MALAYSIA Dec 14, 2025 – Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed deep emotion over the unwavering spirit and loyalty of the Indian Progressive Front (IPF) Malaysia members, which has remained steadfast for over three decades in supporting the coalition.
In a statement shared after attending the IPF Malaysia General Assembly themed “Voice of Loyalty, Pulse of Struggle” at Setia Ecohill, Semenyih today, Zahid commended the consistent commitment of IPF under the leadership of Datuk T. Loganathan to continue cooperating within the broader BN framework.
Zahid said IPF has endured a long journey since its establishment over three decades ago, facing various challenges, yet remaining firm in supporting BN. He appreciated this commitment as evidence of trust and readiness to collectively build BN’s future.
He also reminded that in politics, everyone is currently going through a phase that tests patience and wisdom. There are times when we are tested while out of power, and times when we are tested with limited power. However, he believes that with patience and structured efforts, the coalition can move forward more strongly. Importantly, every decision must be made wisely, without emotional pressure, and based on collective interests.
According to Zahid, the assembly brought a new spirit to unite in strengthening BN’s struggle amid an increasingly complex political landscape. The strength of a coalition lies not just in numbers, but in the commitment to work together, complement each other, and respect each other’s roles.
“Insha-Allah, with unity of hearts and clear focus, we will continue to advance this struggle towards a more stable future, ultimately benefiting the people as a whole,” Zahid added.
IPF, led by Datuk T. Loganathan, is a long-time BN ally that has supported the coalition for over 30 years, although it is not yet a full component party.
This statement reflects Zahid’s appreciation for IPF’s loyalty amid current political challenges facing BN.
