MALAYSIA. KUALA LUMPUR, June 19, 2025 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail expressed profound admiration for the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Forensic Laboratory during an official visit this morning, highlighting the unit’s pivotal role in solving complex criminal cases.

Speaking after touring specialized facilities, including the Fingerprint Laboratory, CCTV Lab, Document Lab, and other critical units, Saifuddin emphasized the often-overlooked contributions of PDRM’s forensic experts.
“While public focus tends to be on fieldwork, the forensic unit works tirelessly behind the scenes, driving the success of countless investigations,” he said.
A standout moment of the visit was a demonstration showcasing how forensic specialists can enhance blurry or dark video footage to produce clear leads, such as identifying suspects’ faces or physical characteristics.
Saifuddin described these skills as a “game changer” in unraveling criminal cases across the country.
Commending the team’s dedication and professionalism, the Home Minister extended his congratulations to the entire PDRM Forensic Laboratory staff for their exceptional contributions to national security.
“Your expertise is a cornerstone of our justice system,” Saifuddin said, reaffirming the government’s support for advancing forensic capabilities.
