The update comes after additional probes were conducted by a special task force from the Criminal Investigation Department at Bukit Aman, according to a media statement issued by department director CP Datuk M. Kumar A/L S. Muthuvelu at 6.15pm.

To date, statements have been recorded from 195 witnesses under Section 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code. These include students, teachers, medical officers, wardens, security guards, parents, and other individuals deemed material to the case.

The investigation is centered on two key elements: an inquest perspective, and potential other criminal activities such as bullying and the dissemination of fake news.
In the statement, PDRM urged the public to refrain from speculation or stirring sentiments that could disrupt harmony. The force assured that the process has been thorough and transparent, with no parties being shielded.

The case has drawn significant public attention, though details remain limited pending the Attorney General’s review.
