PM Anwar Warmly Welcomes Official Visit of Pakistan’s PM to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA October 5, 2025 – Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has warmly welcomed the arrival of Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who began a three-day official visit to Malaysia today.

In a statement issued, Anwar explained that this visit is a reciprocal one following his own official trip to Pakistan in October 2024, reflecting the close friendship between the two nations.

“This visit is a reciprocal to my official visit to Pakistan in October 2024, and it reflects the close ties of friendship between our two countries,” Anwar emphasized.

He also revealed that various agendas have been arranged during this visit to explore new cooperation potentials in several fields, including trade and investment, the halal industry, education, tourism, and defense. These collaborations aim to bring mutual benefits to the people of Malaysia and Pakistan.

Anwar expressed his hope that Malaysia-Pakistan relations will continue to flourish and advance in the future, Insya-Allah.

This visit is expected to strengthen the diplomatic bonds between the two countries, which have long demonstrated strong commitment to economic and strategic cooperation.
