PDRM Expresses Highest Appreciation to the Madani Government for Implementing the Budi95 Program

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept 27, 2025 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today expressed profound gratitude to the Madani Malaysian Government for implementing the Budi95 Program, which began today, a move regarded as evidence of the government’s steadfast commitment to strengthening national security preparedness.

In a media statement issued by the Inspector-General of Police, Dato’ Seri Haji Khalid bin Haji Ismail, PDRM emphasized that this initiative not only adds value to operational effectiveness but also strengthens strategic cooperation between security agencies for the welfare of the people and the sovereignty of the nation.

“This step demonstrates the government’s commitment to enhancing national security preparedness, particularly through integrated support for PDRM and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM),” the statement, released at 1:00 PM from PDRM Headquarters in Bukit Aman, affirmed.

The Budi95 Program is a targeted petrol subsidy initiative under the BUDI Madani scheme, enabling all Malaysians to purchase RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per liter, regardless of income level, provided they possess a valid MyKad and driver’s license. The full implementation of the program is scheduled to begin on 30 September 2025.

According to PDRM’s statement, this initiative is expected to enhance the efficiency of security operations, including transportation and logistics for PDRM and ATM, by reducing fuel cost burdens. “PDRM is confident that this initiative will add value to operational effectiveness and strengthen strategic cooperation between security agencies,” the statement added.

The implementation of Budi95 has been positively received by various parties, although vehicles registered in Singapore are excluded from enjoying the subsidized rates across the border. The Ministry of Finance has released an official Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide to clarify eligibility and the subsidy application process, including online verification.

This statement comes as the government continues to address post-pandemic economic challenges, with targeted subsidies like Budi95 seen as a progressive step to alleviate the public’s burden while maintaining the nation’s fiscal stability. PDRM calls on all parties to cooperate to ensure the smooth implementation of this program, maximizing its benefits for national security.
