KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA March 1, 2026 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, yesterday attended an iftar reception with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Malaysia, His Excellency Osamah Dakhel R. Al-Ahmadi, at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The fast-breaking event, organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Malaysia, was also graced by the presence of Tengku Laksamana Selangor, Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.
According to a statement from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the gathering served as an important platform to strengthen bilateral relations between the Governments of Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, in line with the spirit of Ramadan that emphasises the values of togetherness, compassion and universal brotherhood.
“The attendance of Tan Sri Ayob Khan representing PDRM reflects the police force’s continued commitment to maintaining close diplomatic ties with Saudi Arabia, particularly through strategic cooperation in the field of policing that contributes to the security and stability of both nations,” the statement said.
The event, which took place in a harmonious and cordial atmosphere, was also attended by Chief Justice of Malaysia Datuk Seri Utama Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh; Chief of Army General Dato’ Azhan Hj. Md Othman; Chief of Air Force General Dato’ Sri Hj. Muhamad Norazlan Aris TUDM; and Deputy Secretary-General (Bilateral Relations) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani.
