KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 9 July 2025 – Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Deputy IGP), DIG Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, attended the opening ceremony of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and Related Meetings, officiated by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, this morning.

Tan Sri Ayob Khan’s presence underscores the Royal Malaysia Police’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s role as host and strengthening regional security ties in line with ASEAN’s aspirations.
Themed “Inclusivity and Sustainability” under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, the 58th AMM and Related Meetings feature 24 ministerial-level meetings and discussions with ASEAN Dialogue and Sectoral Partners.
The four-day event, running from 8 to 11 July, gathers foreign ministers from ASEAN nations and representatives of dialogue partners to address critical issues, including regional security, politics, and strategic cooperation to tackle global challenges.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Dato’ Sri Hj. Fadillah Hj. Yusof; Foreign Minister, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Hj. Hasan; ASEAN foreign ministers; Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief, DCP Dato’ Usuf Jan Mohamad; Dang Wangi District Police Chief, ACP Sulizme Affendy Sulaiman; and Deputy Head of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (Intelligence/Operations), Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters, Superintendent Mohamad Musa Marsidi.
