BAGAN DATUK, Malaysia, June 28, 2025 – A devastating fire tore through Kampung Bagan Pasir Laut, Hutan Melintang, Bagan Datuk, early this morning, destroying 23 homes and premises, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Bagan Datuk MP, Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
In a statement, Ahmad Zahid said his office was promptly informed of the incident, and officers were dispatched to the scene to assist affected families. “Immediate aid will be provided, and every victim will receive the necessary support, God willing,” he assured.
He expressed deep gratitude to the fire brigade, security personnel, and volunteers for their swift response and tireless efforts in controlling the situation, praising their dedication and spirit of unity.
“My prayers are with all the victims. May they be granted strength and resilience to face this heavy trial,” Ahmad Zahid added.
