“I affirm Malaysia’s commitment to emerge as one of the leading AI nations by 2030, not just as a user of technology, but as a creator of value and a driver of innovation that stimulates the economy and improves the welfare of the people,” Anwar emphasized in the statement.
He also stressed that developing sovereign AI is a crucial step to ensure the country’s digital sovereignty, while building an ecosystem based on trust, security, and moral responsibility.
Anwar expressed deep appreciation to NVIDIA and YTL Power for their contributions, hoping that this initiative will accelerate Malaysia’s AI agenda for the benefit of all the people. “May it accelerate Malaysia’s AI agenda for the benefit of all the people and the future of an inclusive, ethical, and sustainable MADANI economy,” he added.
