PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA February 9, 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim today attended the Monthly Assembly of the Ministry of National Unity, where he delivered a key message on harmony and unity among Malaysians.
In his speech, Anwar reminded the audience that despite the complexities and occasional turmoil in the political landscape that sometimes draw people into rivalry and conflict, the vast majority of Malaysians remain committed to the reality that the nation must be built on a strong foundation through mutual understanding and unity.
“No matter how tangled the political behaviour and other factors that sometimes drag us into arenas of rivalry with one another, generally, Alhamdulillah, the majority of the people accept the truth that the country must stand on the right foundation,” Anwar said.
He stressed the collective responsibility of all parties to ensure Malaysia remains a peaceful, united, and respected nation on the world stage—for the sake of a more prosperous future for generations to come.
