KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 2026 — Malaysian alternative rock band Disagree will make their first live appearance in more than a decade with the “Black & White in Colour” Live Showcase at REXKL Hall on Saturday, Oct 24, the band said in a statement.
The showcase will also mark the official launch of the group’s 21-track album Black & White in Colour, which will be sold exclusively at the venue before a wider release.
Doors open at 7pm, with the performance scheduled from 8.30pm to 10pm. All tickets are free-standing and available at disagree.ubertickets.asia. Early-bird tickets are priced at RM80 for general admission and RM60 for students, rising to RM100 and RM60 respectively for regular sales. Tickets at the door will cost RM120. Prices exclude processing fees.
Disagree said the show is intended as more than a comeback concert, giving long-time listeners a chance to reconnect with the band while introducing a new generation to their music.
The group built a following in the early 2000s and early 2010s with songs including Crumbs, Suicide Note, Scarecrow Adams, Osaka and Haley. They appeared at the Rock The World festival and opened for international acts such as Hoobastank and The All-American Rejects. Disagree also won three Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) awards.
The band later stepped away from the scene as members focused on family and career commitments. Their return began in May with the single Let’s Do It All Again, which the group described as a reflection on their absence, their relationship with fans and an unfinished chapter.
Black & White in Colour was produced and mixed by Greg Henderson and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Leon Zervos at Studios 301 in Australia. The album, the band said, deals with heartache, trauma, reconnection, faith and the course of life, pairing their established alternative rock sound with a more mature approach to storytelling.
The performance at REXKL Hall has been planned as an immersive show rather than a conventional concert, with projection mapping and surround sound. REXKL, a former cinema now used as a creative hub in downtown Kuala Lumpur, will host the event.
Disagree currently comprises Zahid on vocals and guitar, Hamka on drums and Taa on bass. The band said the October date is a chance “to finally finish what was left unfinished.”
