SHAH ALAM, MALAYSIA February 19, 2026 – The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (JSJN) has successfully busted two active drug trafficking syndicates operating in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, seizing narcotics and assets valued at approximately RM21 million.
JSJN Director CP Dato’ Hussein Omar Khan announced the achievement during a media briefing held today at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK Selangor).
In the first operation, codenamed Op Bena, conducted on 12 February 2026, JSJN teams carried out four separate raids and arrested four local men and one local woman, aged between 27 and 37. Authorities seized 158.61 kilograms of methamphetamine, 10.89 kilograms of ecstasy, and 5 kilograms of MDMA, with a combined estimated street value of RM12.6 million. Also confiscated were a pistol along with ammunition and assets worth about RM500,000. The syndicate is believed to have been active since 2021 and used speedboats (bot pancung) to smuggle drugs into neighbouring countries.
In the second operation, BSJND Sabak Bernam, two raids were conducted in the Sekinchan area, resulting in the arrest of two local men and one foreign woman, aged between 26 and 53. Various types of drugs worth an estimated RM8.4 million were seized, along with assets valued at RM49,000. This syndicate had been operating since July 2025.
Both cases are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.

The operations highlight the continued commitment of PDRM’s narcotics division in disrupting major drug distribution networks across the Klang Valley region.
