KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA January 27, 2026 – Loh Ker Chean, Deputy Chief of the Women’s Wing of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN), has welcomed the decision made at the party’s Central Leadership Council (MPP) meeting on 25 January to appoint several experienced figures and new leaders to the Political Bureau and the Central Leadership Council.
In a media statement dated 26 January 2026, she described the move as a positive development expected to have an immediate impact on government administration by strengthening alignment between the party’s direction and policy implementation at the administrative level.
“The combination of expertise in economic management, social issues, and public administration will accelerate administrative reforms, improve the effectiveness of policy delivery, and ensure that KEADILAN’s reform agenda is implemented in a more structured and effective manner for the benefit of the people,” she said.
Loh Ker Chean emphasised that the appointments reflect KEADILAN’s commitment as a reform-oriented party that consistently provides open and fair opportunities to new faces and high-calibre individuals. This inclusive approach, she added, not only refreshes the party’s leadership but also ensures KEADILAN remains relevant, dynamic, and focused on genuine capability rather than mere political background.
She further described the appointments as a reinforcement of the principle of meritocracy and the party’s policy readiness, particularly in addressing the increasingly complex challenges of national administration. The inclusion of figures with current or past administrative experience is expected to add significant value in crafting practical, reality-based policies centred on the people’s interests.
“I am confident this step will strengthen the party’s leadership machinery, enhance synergy between the party and the government, and boost public confidence in KEADILAN as a mature, open political platform ready to lead Malaysia with greater justice and integrity,” Loh Ker Chean added.
The statement is viewed as a positive signal of KEADILAN’s ongoing efforts to consolidate its position as a responsive ruling party attuned to the needs of the people.
