Launched in 2024, the KAM program is a federal government effort to bridge the urban-rural development gap. Beyond infrastructure, it includes community engagement sessions and mobile government services to address local needs. Mukim Kaiduan, Papar, was selected as KPDN’s adopted village due to its basic infrastructure coverage being below 50%.

With a RM107 million allocation for 43 villages nationwide, KPDN received RM2.5 million to execute projects in Kaiduan. Since the program’s official launch on May 24, 2024, all 16 projects have been fully completed, benefiting residents with improved connectivity, safer transportation, and enhanced community facilities.

Key projects include:
– Upgrading roads and culverts, and constructing new bridges in Kampung Kaiduan.
– Building a new Low Level Crossing (LLC) bridge in Kampung Ulu Kaiduan.
– Road upgrades in Kampung Bisuang.
– Constructing a new suspension bridge to SK Kaiduan.
– Building a new surau and multipurpose hall at SK Kaiduan.
– Upgrading a church, community hall, and constructing a new sepak takraw court in Kampung Bolotikon.
– Repairing a suspension bridge, building a hilly walkway, and laying crusher run on the main road in Kampung Moliyoun.
– Installing solar streetlights in Kampung Kaiduan, Bisuang, and Bolotikon.

These initiatives aim to enhance residents’ quality of life, support religious activities, and boost local socio-economic growth. The success reflects strong collaboration between KPDN, the Ministry of Finance, the Sabah State Development Office, and the Papar District Office, alongside support from local leaders and the Kaiduan community.

KPDN expressed gratitude for the community’s cooperation and hopes the projects will drive sustainable development in Mukim Kaiduan.
