KUALA LUMPUR, 12 March 2026 – Ikhlas Com Travel & Umrah Sdn Bhd (ikhlas.com) has intensified its efforts to assist those in need in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan through its annual Seikhlas Ramadan campaign, which is being rolled out simultaneously across the country.
Among the latest initiatives is the Ziarah Belantara program, aimed at supporting newly converted indigenous Muslim communities in the Orang Asli settlements (Pos) of Lemoi and Telimau in Cameron Highlands, Pahang. The program was conducted in collaboration with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Sahabat Belantara, involving a convoy of 17 four-wheel-drive vehicles and 55 volunteers.
Traversing muddy logging trails and mist-covered forests, the convoy delivered essential supplies including rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour and other kitchen necessities to help the local community prepare meals for iftar and sahur throughout Ramadan.

Chief Executive Officer of ikhlas.com, Ikhlas Kamarudin said: “Beyond providing food assistance, the programme also included iftar, tarawih prayers and tazkirah sessions with the Orang Asli mualaf community as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of Islam in their daily lives.”
“We take the trust placed in us by our donors seriously. When we speak about charitable giving, for ikhlas.com it goes beyond a digital transaction. It is an amanah — a responsibility to ensure that contributions reach those who truly need them, including communities living in remote areas,” he said.
Apart from the Ziarah Belantara Programme, the Seikhlas Ramadan campaign also encompasses various other initiatives in collaboration with mosque committees, charitable organisations and local authorities to assist asnaf communities and other groups in need.
These include the Asnaf Home Makeover Programme, carried out in collaboration with Pusat Pungutan Zakat – Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP), aimed at improving the living conditions of asnaf families by refurbishing their homes and the Shopping Raya ‘Ikhlas Untukmu’ initiative, which helps asnaf families prepare for Aidilfitri by providing clothing and essential items.
At the same time, several community iftar programmes were organised, including the distribution of 1,100 meal packs to students of Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Ilmu Khas, as well as 1,500 iftar meal packs for students at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak Campus.

Iftar meals were also distributed to 3,000 frontliners in collaboration with AirAsia Ride at KLIA Landside, Sepang besides a community iftar with 110 asnaf families involving more than 1,000 recipients at ST Rosyam Mart in Jalan Kebun, Klang who also received basic necessities.
To date, more than 20,000 hot meals for iftar and about 1,200 food baskets consisting of basic necessities have been distributed to those in need throughout the month of Ramadan.
